There are 3 businesses running out of West end Mews. Fur & Feather, a gun and game shop, for all you game shooting needs, J & R Laundrette, a self service laundrette and West End Gym, a gynasiuim catering for all type of trainee's.
Across the road, although 
no part of the West End Mews, is a 'One Stop Shop' for all your grocery needs.
The West End Mews is a five minute walk from the city centre. Altogether it makes this area unbeatable for amenity access.
J & R Laundrette was established in 1973 by the propriators of RJR Properties and has been used by many of the local residents for many years. The other side of the roadway was R.L.Reeder & Son butchers shop which was also established by the owners of RJR Properties in 1946 . 
However due to a genral change in the general publics eating habits was forced to close in 2000 making way for Fur and Feather. A gun and game shop, selling accessories for all the hunting sports.
At the very end of the Mews is the West End Gym, a gymnasium catering for all types of fittness needs from general fitness training to physiotherapy. This is the second incarnation of gym in these premises, as it used to be S and S Bodytec and was established back in 1988 but due to changes in the owners responsibilities and lifestyle changed hands in 2000 and became the West End Gym.
